100 km of Hope (in support of Leucan)
Context
The 100 km of Hope is a charity endurance challenge in support of Leucan, which supports children with cancer and their families. In a long-duration "backyard ultra" format, the event brought together hundreds of runners in the natural setting of Parc du Domaine-Vert.
The Pixanova LED setup
We installed 3 LED totem screens (1 m x 2 m, 1.86 mm pitch, over 1,000 nits). For this outdoor event, the screens were positioned under cover and powered on site, displaying the countdown, sponsor messages, race information and tributes—living content impossible to convey with a printed poster.
Impact
Over a long-duration event, the dynamic display set the pace of the day: informing runners and the public, showcasing partners and amplifying the emotion of the cause. Being able to change content live proved invaluable throughout the challenge.
Conclusion
The 100 km of Hope shows that LED display is not reserved for trade shows: it also structures and amplifies outdoor and charity events.
