Montreal Home Expo

Background: The Montreal Home Expo, the showcase for better living at home
Year after year, the Montreal Home Expo (Salon de l'habitation de Montréal) is the flagship event for homeowners and home improvement enthusiasts in the Greater Montreal area. Hosted at Place Bonaventure, it brings together tens of thousands of visitors looking for inspiration, discovering the latest trends in interior and exterior design, and meeting professionals capable of bringing their projects to life. In this high-traffic context, the spa and hot tub sector is one of the most coveted categories: visitors dream, compare, and with the right staging, make the leap. It is precisely in this dynamic that SP International chose to raise the bar with a high-definition LED display designed by Pixanova.
SP International: The swim spa specialist in Quebec since 1997
Founded in 1997 and backed by over 25 years of experience, SP International is the Quebec reference for swim spas, traditional spas, and high-end accessories. With centers in Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby and Laval — and a new branch launched in 2021 under the name SP International & Fils —, the company serves all of Quebec and Ontario. Its mission: to offer families superior quality products, impeccable customer service, and a unique buying experience. With more than 10 models on display in its showrooms, SP International relies on the sensory experience to convince customers. At the Home Expo, the challenge was to recreate this magic in an exhibition context, in front of thousands of visitors walking just meters away from the booth.
Two large-format LED screens to sell the dream on a large scale
For their participation in the Home Expo, SP International bet on emotional impact with a setup of two 6'5" LED totem screens, strategically deployed by Pixanova around the displayed spa models. Together, they created an immersive visual envelope that plunged visitors into a world of relaxation before they even spoke a word to an advisor. The screens continuously broadcast carefully selected aspirational footage: families enjoying their spa under the stars, couples relaxing in a steaming hot tub in the middle of a Quebec winter, children playing in a swim spa, all combined with technical information on flagship models, available financing options, and exclusive expo promotions.
Integration and design: Immersing visitors in the experience before they even try it
The staging of the screens was designed to create a seamless narrative continuity between the physical products on display and the lifestyles projected on screen. The LED totems framed the demonstration spas to reinforce the aspirational effect: visitors no longer just saw a spa in an exhibition hall; they were already projecting themselves into their own relaxation space, at home, this winter. The dynamic content was updated during the event to reflect expo offers in real time, maintaining the interest of visitors who passed by the booth multiple times throughout the day.
Impact: A booth that transformed dreams into decisions
The presence of the LED screens significantly boosted the attractiveness of the SP International booth. Visitors who had not planned to stop were drawn in by the quality and warmth of the projected images, creating organic and sustained traffic throughout the event. The assessment of their participation:
Significantly higher booth traffic than previous editions, largely driven by the visual appeal of the screens from the aisle,
An increased average visit time thanks to the immersive visual experience that held attention and fueled conversations,
Numerous requests for information and quotes generated directly on site, with a remarkable conversion rate for a public consumer event,
A brand image perceived as more modern, premium, and inspiring by all visitors who interacted with the booth.
Conclusion: LED as a driver of desire and conversion
By integrating high-definition LED screens into their exhibition space, SP International did much more than decorate their booth: they created a sensory and emotional experience that propelled their brand into a class of its own at the Montreal Home Expo. The Pixanova setup showcased the dream that SP International swim spas sell — and the results confirmed it. Because you buy a spa with your eyes before you experience it in the water.
